Are your diamonds conflict free? Where do you get them from?
YES! And we're so happy you're asking the same questions we care about. All of our stones are beyond conflict free and are real diamonds that are cultivated in a foundry in America without the human and environmental toll of mining. Our large stones are from Diamond Foundry, and our specialty stones are either man-made or recycled from previous estate jewelry and loved ones. Some clients prefer to use stones they already have and we love that as well. However achieved, our mission is to end the demand for earth-mined diamonds because we simply don't feel comfortable putting our name on anything that has any potential negative human, environmental and ethical impact. We believe your ring should be a representation of your beautiful love from start to finish.
Can I use my own stones and gold from a current jewelry piece?
YES! We love to incorporate elements of sentimental pieces into our new designs. We're all about the meaning in everything.
I'm not in Los Angeles. Do you ship to outside of CA and internationally?
YES! All of our packages are shipped fully insured via Fed Ex, UPS or DHL depending on your preference.
How do we meet for a custom design if I'm not in Los Angeles?
Skype, FaceTime or videos! Any time we would meet in person to approve wax molds, stones, or the final piece, we prefer to meet in real time to make sure we are achieving your vision to perfection.
What does the custom design process look like?
We like to keep it as fun and stress-free as possible. We'll start with an introductory phone call to hear a little more about your vision, budget and overall vibe of your love and talk through any preliminary questions you might have. Then we'll move towards a shared Pinterest board (or inspo images and sketches if they are already soldified). When our design is nailed down, we'll take a first deposit, and pull any stones for approval. When the stones are approved, we move forward with the first 3D rendering of your piece. When that looks good, we will print the image in wax, again for your review, and if all is as desired, we'll move forward with the main event and cast the piece in gold, set the stones and finish the peice. Our studio is in Los Angeles off the 10 between Culver City and Downtown, and we take meetings there or at your go-to coffee shop. Our goal is to do everything we can to make sure you feel totally comfortable and as involved in the process as you'd like to be, every step of the way. If you happen to be far from Los Angeles, we can conduct most of our meetings over Skype or Face Time when approvals are needed.
Can I find your pieces in stores?
No, we do not sell retail in order to keep our prices fair and pass the savings along to our clients .
Can I come by the studio and see your rings?
As much as we would love to meet you, no. All of our pieces are custom and made to order. We do not have inventory.
What do I do if I don't know the ring size?
We will send you a plastic ring sizer! Please contact us for shipment :) If you are purchasing the ring for someone else we recommend chatting with trusted friends, family, or stealthily measuring a ring that they currently wear.
My ring doesn't fit. Do you resize?
Of course, and the first time is on us. If you live outside of Los Angeles and find it difficult to say goodbye to your ring at the post office, most local jewelers can resize as well for around $25. It's a fairly simple process, but as always, we recommend checking for reviews and recommendations.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We use Stripe for online orders, which accepts all major credit cards. We also accept Venmo, Paypal and Cash for custom pieces. We do not offer financing because we're confident we can create something gorgeous within any budget. Please contact us if you have questions.
Can I exchange or return an item?
Because each piece is custom and made to order, there are no returns or exchanges. That being said, we want you to be happy and LOVE the piece forever and we will do everything we can to make sure that happens.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes! We provide complimentary resizing and small stone resetting for the first year. We strongly encourage having all center stones insured - you can never be too safe. We have business insurance if anything happens to go wrong with the piece that is our fault - though we never anticipate this happening and have never had an issue, we do cover our bases if that makes you more comfortable. After one year, we will take care of you for life at discounted rates.
What type of diamonds do you use?
Every large center stone we use is from the Diamond Foundry. They are typically G-H, SI1 in grade, but we can select any type of stone that fits your budget preferences. In instances where Diamond Foundry cannot accommodate our requests we use recycled stones and man-made gemstones. We believe these options are beyond conflict-free and avoid the human and environmental toll of mining.
